Campaign War Room

See the other side’s next move before it reaches voters

Name your races. OppIntell binds every candidate in them, on every side, to the official record and tells you what moved: money, outside spending, paid media, the record, and the press. Each alert answers four questions: what changed, why it matters, what to do, and by when. The facts come with their receipts.

The War Room runs on the same research file as every candidate profile. Opposition research is the sourced public-record file on a candidate: voting history, public statements, campaign finance filings, financial disclosures, and court records, with a source on each claim. OppIntell opposition research software organizes those same records into profiles.

Three clocks, one engine

In rollout

Critical

Within minutes of detection. A filing, outside expenditure, ad, or story that changes your race is pushed to email and your Slack as soon as our ingest sees it. Quiet hours overnight, except for outside money, a hit on your candidate, and the final 72 hours.

In rollout

Daily

07:00 every morning in the final 30 days. The scoreboard first, then every race with a move, ranked. A second edition at 17:00 in the final 72 hours.

Live now

Weekly

Sunday evening. Up to three ranked calls across your designated races, each with its receipt and options, plus last week's decisions and a share link. Each issue says how current each data source is.

What lands in your inbox

Illustrative sample. The race, district, candidates, filings, and figures below are fictional. They show the format and the rules, not any real campaign.

A critical alert, as Pat Example’s campaign would receive it

CRITICALExample State House District 7 · Opponent: Sam Sample · MoneyBy Oct 9

The opponent paid for mail.

WHAT CHANGED

Paid a vendor $14,800 for “POSTAGE & PRINTING – MAILERS” on Oct 2.

Source: Example State campaign finance report (fictional), filed Oct 4.

WHY IT MATTERS

The opponent's mail payments dated Sep 26 to Oct 2: $21,300 across 3 payments.

The opponent's mail spending this cycle: $31,200; your candidate: $8,400.

Example State House District 7 was decided by 2.1 points last time.

19 days until early voting opens (Oct 24).

WHAT TO DO

A) Pre-empt: Brief field and phone teams with your response line before their message reaches voters.

B) Answer in the same channel: Start a contrast piece in the same channel now; send the receipts packet to the vendor and counsel.

C) Hold: If you hold past Oct 9, a response can no longer land before early voting opens (Oct 24).

BY WHEN

Decide by Oct 9 (4 days).

The same filing, as Sam Sample’s campaign would receive it

Same facts, same receipt, same numbers. Only the role labels and the options change. That is what non-partisan by structure means.

Start with a packet

Live now

Self-audit packet

See what the other side can find before they do.

Our research-book generator run on your own candidate. Findings are ranked high, medium, or watch, each with its public-record receipt, so you see the file an opponent could build. Confidential to your campaign; never published.

Pilot

Debate-prep packet

Walk on stage with the receipts.

Before a debate or forum, our team assembles it from the research book: the strongest receipted lines on your opponent, the lines they could use on you, ready for your one-sentence answer, and their statements on the record, verbatim.

From race list to first brief

  1. Tell us your candidate and the races you want watched.
  2. We bind every candidate in those races, on every side, to the official filing records and confirm coverage with you. Any gap is disclosed before the first send.
  3. Your first brief goes out. Our target is within 24 hours of confirming your race list.
  4. After week one we review the decisions you logged and tune what reaches you.

The trust promise

Live now

Receipts, not prose

In cards, briefs, and alerts, every fact is a verbatim public-record receipt with its source, or a fixed template filled with computed numbers. No AI-written prose about any person appears in them.

Live now

The same facts for every side

The engine has no side. A campaign on the other side of your race, subscribing to the same service, would receive identical facts with the role labels swapped.

In rollout

Campaign time, not our time

Dates are the event's own: the transaction date, the filing date, the publication date. A record we only just collected is labeled “first seen by OppIntell”, never presented as news.

Live now

Say how current it is

Every weekly issue states how current each data source behind it is, and lower-confidence signals are held back rather than guessed.

In rollout

Fail closed

When a data source is stale we leave it out of cards, briefs, and alerts and say nothing, rather than show a zero or a number we cannot stand behind.

Live now

No verdicts

Cards, briefs, and alerts report what the record shows and offer options. They do not call anyone a liar or rate a statement true or false.

Live now

Your list stays yours

Your race list and the decisions you log are never shown to another customer or published.

Read the research methodology, or report an error in anything we publish.

Questions campaigns ask

Is OppIntell aligned with a party?

No. Detectors describe a candidate or a race, not a side. Your race designation only decides which candidate is labeled yours. A campaign on the other side of the same race would receive identical facts.

Does any of this use AI-written content about candidates?

Not in cards, briefs, or alerts: every fact there is a verbatim receipt from a public record, and every sentence around it is a fixed template with computed numbers. Research books can include a narrative summary drafted with AI from the book's receipted findings; every finding still carries its receipt. The debate pilot uses AI to transcribe and to find checkable statements, and an analyst reviews what it surfaces.

What does “In rollout” mean?

The capability is built and tested and is being enabled in stages. We confirm what is available for your races before you sign, and we never sell a roadmap item as a deliverable.

In rollout

How fast is “within minutes”?

Critical alerts are in rollout. Once enabled for your races, minutes are counted from when our ingest sees the record. How quickly a record becomes visible depends on the agency that publishes it, and we tell you each source's refresh schedule up front.
