How these counts are stored

Category profiles are the party buckets on the candidate research summary, summed across race categories. The Democratic hub reads the stored democrat bucket. Each other hub reads the bucket with the same name as its route. A zero bucket is omitted.

State profiles sum that same bucket across public state-count rows for the state. Rows are ordered by that sum. The state name links to the state research hub when the hub's stored profile total passes the index gate.

The top state for a category is the public state with the highest stored bucket for that party and category. Executive links to the presidential and national campaign hub. Every other category links to the indexable race hub for that state and office. A hub that fails its index gate is not linked.

Category totals from the research summary sum to 19,076 profiles. Public state rows sum to 17,878.
